Laura Buck - Recruitment Executive

Brand: Computer People

University: Nottingham Trent

What you do: Recruitment Executive - IT Development Specialist.

I specialise in placing permanent IT staff in a number of leading organisations all over the UK. I started at Computer People as a Graduate Recruitment Consultant and was entirely responsible for generating my own business and success. Prior to this role my knowledge of recruitment and the IT industry was extremely limited.

I was completely supported from day one and have gained a great understanding of recruitment and the IT industry from my manager and experienced colleagues. I have also attended various Adecco training courses which have improved my ability and confidence.

Best parts of your job:
The best part of my job is definitely the rewards and incentives available to us. We have one of the most generous commission structures within the UK, which means there is no limit to your success and to what you can earn. It is great to work for a company who reward and recognise your success in a variety of ways including monthly lunch clubs, commission and reward trips (e.g Barbados!).

Three words to describe yourself:
Bright, entrepreneurial and ambitious
